We looked at an Australian didgeridoo. We listened to the sound it made.

We have learnt about Aboriginal art.  We then  created our own dot art paintings.

Today we used rainsticks. These musical instructions originate from Australia.

We have been reading the story "Tiddalick The Frog". The story is based on a traditional Aboriginal Dreamtime story about a frog called Tiddalick. Take a look at the fantastic Tiddalicks we have drawn.

Today we learnt all about Australia. We found where it was located on a world map. We looked at  famous Australian landmarks such as Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Uluru or Ayers Rock and the Great Barrier Reef. What an amazing place it is!

We have been learning about the Australian flag!

Today we learnt about traditional Australian Bush Dancing. We even had a try! Bush dance is a style of dance from Australia, particularly where the music is provided by a bush band. The dances are mainly based on the traditional folk dances of the UK, Ireland and central Europe.

We have been learning how to draw kangaroos and koala bears.
